The Hellam Township Volunteers spent the morning at Wrightsville Elementary speaking
with the children about fire safety and our fire trucks. StatMedEvac
landed in the field behind the school. Stat personnel gave the kids a tour
of the chopper and answered questions.
The volunteers then proceeded
to Station 41 for lunch. A special thanks to Wrightsville for the excellent
lunch.
For the afternoon, 21 and 41 equipment went to Kreutz Creek
Elementary for another presentation. Once again, StatMedEvac landed
in the soccer field and also gave their presentation.
A special thanks
also goes out to StatMedEvac, Bryan Peterson (Stat Base 13 Coordinator), Chief
Dube (21), Chief Smeltzer (41), Sharon Smeltzer (41), Principal Gillett (Wrightsville),
and Principal Moyers-Bloss (Kreutz Creek) for their support and help
with making this day a success. |
