At 1720 this evening, the 41-01 box was struck for a residential structure fire at
210 Walnut Street in Wrightsville Borough. Chief 41 arrived on scene with
a working fire just minutes later. Engine 41 arrived and found a small
fire, located around a heater. A water can extinguished the fire quickly.
Crews from 21 and 41 overhauled the small area, removing burned items from
the residence. The box was placed available at 1815. Less than six hours later, the 21-02 box was struck at 2346 for a high risk structure fire, reported to be a gas leak inside. While investigating a call of their own, officers of the Hellam Township Police Department found a strong odor of gas inside 95 Charles Circle, Hallam Borough requesting a fire department response. Crews from 21 controlled the meter, checked levels inside the structure, and ventilated. 21 and 41 crews continued to recheck the structure until the arrival of Columbia Gas. At 0043, the box was placed available. |
