At 2140, Station 21 was dispatched to 6806 East River Drive for a reported Chimney Fire, a 41-03 box.  Due to the snowy conditions and norrow road, Attack 21 responded in place of the engine with Utility 21 not far behind.  Chief 21 had the duty vehicle and arrived to a working chimney fire.  He advised for all units except Attacks 21 and 42, Engine 41, and Utility 21 to stage at the Accomac Inn parking lot, due to the narrow road.  Units at the scene began working the chimney sweep after laddering the roof.  The interior crew cleaned up whatever debris made it through the clogged chimney.  Units also pulled some siding and walls to extinguish fire that was starting to escape the chimney.  A successful, safe job by the units on scene.  Thanks to the mutual aid companies for remaining at the staging point.  The box was placed available around midnight.

Earlier in the day, Tanker 21 was due on a second alarm fire assignment in Newberry Township.  The tanker was placed available shortly after responding.
