At 2124 the Hellam Township Volunteers were dispatched to the area of Schmuck Road
at Mt. Pisgah Road on the 21-20 box for a vehicle accident with entrapment.
Chief 21 went responding and was given the additional of about a quarter of
a mile from the intersection on Schmuck Road, a small truck hit the snow bank
and overturned. The driver was reported to have no injuries but was unable
to get out of the vehicle. Both Rescues out of 41 and the Engine out of
21 responded quickly. Chief 21 arrived on the scene advising county of
one vehicle on its side with one occupant confined. Also, he advised that
the call was located in Lower Windsor Township, making it a 38 box. County
contacted a Duty Officer from 38 who advised 21 and 41 units to handle.
Crews popped the passenger door and the patient was able to remove himself from
the vehicle. Following towing and some debris removal, the box was placed
available at 2204. |
