Today's yard sale in Hallam Borough brought many people to the streets and sidewalks.
21 crews began the morning setting up for the sale of sauceburgers,
chips, and drinks on this hot day. The first call of the morning came at
06:34 for an automatic fire alarm reported false. Chief 21 went responding
holding all equipment in quarters. Chief arrived and confirmed a false
alarm due to burnt cooking. Box available. Later, while selling burgers,
stations 21 and 41 were alerted to a vehicle accident on Route 30 with unknown
injuries. Update enroute was a car vs. a tractor trailer. Chiefs
21 and 41 arriving confirming no injuries. Crews waited on scene for
a few minutes before the box was placed available. Crews returned to station
21 and continued to sell food and cold drinks on the hottest day of the year
so far. A special visitor came to us from around the world on his bicycle.
Check out that story here. A special thank you goes out to all those who helped with the food sale. |
