HTFD Holding YCFF Convention |

This summer the Hellam Fire Company and Wrightsville Fire Company will be hosting
the 2009 York County Firefighters Convention. The event is scheduled for
Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 and will mark its 97th year. |
On Saturday, August 15 at 1pm, there will be a parade through Wrightsville Borough.
The parade will comprise of fire apparatus from York County and the south
central Pennsylvania region plus other miscellaneous entries. The parade route will begin at Locust Street at North 7th Street and proceed East on Locust Street. The parade will take a right at North 2nd Street and then a right onto Hellam Street. The parade will then proceed West on Hellam Street and end at North 8th Street. |
Following the parade (about 2:30 pm), the firefighters will meet in Hallam Borough
at the Cly Emig Park for food and awards presentation. There will be an
apparatus display, a free fun bounce for kids, Pork BBQ and hamburger platters,
ice cream, a fire prevention display, an convention T-shirts for sale. The public is invited to attend both the parade in Wrightsville and the post parade activities in Hallam.
