Early in the morning, Stations 21 and 41 were dispatched for a reported vehicle accident, no injuries, involving a tractor trailer just before the bridge on Rt. 30 eastbound.  Chief 41 responding given the additional of a tractor trailer overturned and not blocking.  Also, an EMT on scene requesting an ambulance to check the driver.  Engine 21 responding along with Rescue 41-2.  Engine 21 arriving on scene shortly after Chief 41, providing scene lighting and controlling hazards.  Oil dry was applied to a minor leak and the tedious process of depowering the vehicle while overturned was successful with the collaboration of the 21 and 41 brothers.  Once the vehicle was secured, crews stood by on scene watching the hazards as there was a storm drain leading to the river very close to the vehicle.  The crews also assisted outside personnel in removing the material from the trailer and later with the uprighting of the entire vehicle.  After a long 10 hours out on the highway, box available.

Also during the extended stay on the scene, the Hellam Township Fire Departments responded to another incident on Rt. 30.  The dispatch was given for a possible vehicle fire but the call was unfounded.  Box available.
